"Remember the Cross"
This started out as a compilation CD to meet market demands for an
all-gospel album, but there were too many new songs I wanted to include
as well, so we compiled the best seven from our previous albums,
together with some remakes, original tunes and some old classics. This
album features two of my favourite singers - my daughter Jessica covers
a Brad Rempel/Brian Barrett song I Can, with my other daughter
Stephanie helping out on harmony vocals, and country music legend Dick
Damron partners with me on his 1984 Song Of The Year - Jesus It’s Me
Again. The album covers an eclectic range of musical genres ranging
from a simple one-guitar-one-vocal to acoustic blues to straight ahead
country to country rock to bluegrass, all wrapped around solid lyrics
that make you think.

"Spur of the Moment"
Coffee-Table Book They're calling it the cowboy book of the year.
Spur Of The Moment is a stunning coffee table book of 80 pages of western art depicting people, horses, cows and other forms of wildlife and the humorous situations they get themselves into. A retrospective compilation of over 100 paintings celebrating Ben's colorful career as one of Canada's premiere western cartoonists from early childhood to his present status as one of Leanin' Tree's high selling artists. Endorsements and contributors to this questionable book include Jack Davis, one of the founders of Mad Magazine; Mike Scovel, Leanin' Tree's top-selling artist; and a host of other artists, collectors and western artisans who ought to have knowed better than to lend their unsullied names. Text by best-selling family and humor author Phil Callaway, foreword by western cartoonist legend Boots Reynolds. $21.95

"The Way I Feel"
Most everyone I know has strong feelings about one thing or another.I have a deep love for nature, especially in the mountains and foothills near home here. But I've found that most people have forgot who is behind all that beauty. The Creator gets forgotten.
As you listen to these songs, think about Him. Talk to Him. Maybe He's trying to tell you something...
...that's the way I feel.

"Sunlight on Silver"
It's the look of sunlight on silver,
with the smell of frost in the air,
and the sound of a tired horse blowing that keeps them riding out there...
It's often the simple things that bring the most satisfaction in life. We've kept this project as uncomplicated and live feeling as we could, to compliment the choice of songs. There are some old ones you and I heard as a pup, and some new ones written by good friends (thanks Vern and Bryn). Others may pack a powerful punch, saying some things you and I need to hear more often.

"When Cowboys Rode as Kings"
...I have explored many of the different musical styles that have lent their characteristics to what we know as Cowboy Music. Of course, this is all a lame excuse for a study of my interest in a variety of musical styles.
I really hate to be put in a box - that'll come soon enough. So let's put all that speculation an labeling aside and enjoy music for what it is. Just music.
